Vicky & Andrew - July 2010

Vicky and Andrew were married on a warm rainy day in Glasgow City centre.... they first had their ceremony at the Recital Rooms at City Halls and then moved on to WEST brewery for their reception.
The style of the day was natural.... laid back cool and being true to their individuality.

Vicky's bouquet was a beautiful mix of blues and cream, with a hint of green.... we used gorgeous blue hydrangea to create the base colouring and added roses, Calla lilies, green trick, nigella and scabiosia....

We created two gorgeous arrangements for Vicky and Andrews ceremony, they were super natural with some wild flowing branches and loads of mixed greenery. Vicky's choice of colours stood out perfectly against the white backdrop of the Recital Rooms.
Small heart shaped chairbacks in white with a hint of blue were placed on the aisle...

Then it was off to WEST brewery for the reception..... we decorated the venue with Vicky's vintage bunting, and on the tables we placed little glass jars filled with a mix of country blooms and greenery.....
Vicky and Andrew decided not to have a traditional wedding cake... instead they invited their friends and family to bake or create something delicious and bring it along. We added to the cake table a few vintage tea cups and silverware..... it looked brilliant! One of the best ideas... tricky to pull off but we reckon Vicky and her friends nailed it!!

Congratulations Vicky and Andrew!!

A wonderful wedding!

Katherine spends the day with Sparrow and Rose

To give Katherine a bit of inspirational variety during her time with here I arranged for her to spend the day with lovely Lisa at Sparrow and Rose :)

Katherine assisted Lisa to create beautiful flowers and I'm sure they stopped for tea and cake too!
Thank you Lisa!

Gillian & Kevin - July 2011

Gillian and Kevin were wed at Mearns Parish Kirk... an ancient and very pretty kirk in Newton Mearns. The reception was held at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel.

Gillian's bouquet was a soft natural shower with ivory and green, her bridesmaids had petite bouquets of ivory roses and a pretty petite posy for her little flowergirl.

For the ceremony Katherine created a gorgeous pedestal arrangement in a very non traditional shape.... it was beautiful... unfortunately we don't have a picture of it!

Gillian's reception tables were decorated with globe vases filled with a pillar candle and surrounded by roses, thistles and pebbles.

A gorgeous gift bouquet was presented to Gillian's grandmother....

Congratulations Gillian & Kevin!!

Natalie & Jason - July 2011

Natalie and Jason married at St Ninian's Church, Knightswood and celebrated their day at The Cruin, Loch Lomond. It started as a bit of a rainy day but that did not stop Natalie's natural beauty shinning!

The colouring of the day was lovely soft shades of pink, white and champagne!
Natalie held a petite bouquet of avalanche and sweet avalanche roses, Calla lilies, enchinops and gypsophilla. She is a stunning bride in her beautifully fitted gown, her bouquet complements her beautiful natural look perfectly.

At the Cruin we delicately decorated the venues candelabra creating a soft and natural look in keeping with Natalie's style.

Natalie's photographer was Suzanne Hodgson at Natural Weddings.

Congratulations Natalie & Jason!

Kelstan & Ransom - July 2011 - Part One

Kelstan and Ransom had a spectacular wedding day at Culzean castle in Ayrshire.
Having arranged their wedding from across the Atlantic... Kelstan and Ransom did a top job and it was truly a fairytale wedding.

Kelstan's style for her wedding was soft and natural but full of opulent colours. She decided upon deep and hot pink, reds and purples with mixed greenery for her bouquet... and this colour pulled through to her venue decoration.

Kelstan's bouquet was a gorgeous mix of luscious colour and scent... we included peonies and scented garden roses with astrania, amaranthus, molucella, freesia, lisianthus, alstromeria and more!

The ceremony was held in the round drawing room with stunning views over the firth of Clyde. Katherine and I created two huge candelabra! they were placed on either side of the aisle....

A pretty wreath as a memorial of an absent family member.

At the entrance of Culzean Castle guests passed through a softly decorated archway.

The reception was held in the state dinning room, Kelstan and Ransom's guests were seated at a long grand table. We placed five beautifully adorned candelabra along the centre.

More photographs from Kelstan's wedding are on their way from photographer Tom Gibson in the next few weeks... but I hope you have enjoyed a few of our own snaps in the mean time!
